British Film Designers Guild Awards close soon
The British Film Designers Guild (BDFG) is still accepting entries for the BFDG Production Design Awards 2021, to be held on 12 March 2022 at The Londoner Hotel in Leicester Square.
This year marks the Guild’s 75th birthday, and is the first time the Outstanding Contribution to the Art Department category will be extended to five winners, aiming to ensure that particular award is open to a wider representation of art department creatives, from juniors upwards.
If you are a member of the BFDG and have worked on a project that has been, or is being released this year, take a look at the 14 award categories and entry criteria here.
You can also enter your project or nominated person via the BFDG website. The deadline for submissions is Thursday, 28 October.
The Production Design Awards can only be received by nominated productions that a member of the BFDG has contributed to either as Designer, Supervising Art Director or Set Decorator, (with regards to the Commercials award Art Directors and Stylists will also be included and Art Directors for the Short Film category).
If you are an HoD in a film, TV, or commercials art department and are not already an accredited member of the BFDG, you can obtain a complimentary, three-month membership, which would open up your eligibility for a Production Design Award.
For more information, email awards@britishfilmdesigners.com and your membership will be fast tracked.
