WFTV launches leadership programme

WFTVWomen in Film and Television UK has launched a brand-new career development initiative.

The WFTV Fearless Leadership Programme, led by Tracy Forsyth, is now open for applications from women who are currently leading teams in the film and television industry.

The purpose of the WFTV Fearless Leadership Programme is to empower women to thrive in senior leadership positions by providing training and coaching in leadership skills, tools and techniques and mindset.

The WFTV credo is that if change is to be enabled, one of the most powerful ways is to make sure women leaders are represented at the highest levels across the screen industries in all roles and empowered with the leadership skills, self-belief and confidence to set and deliver strategy, to make positive impact and maintain their resilience for the long-haul.

This is a bespoke programme of group coaching, 1-2-1 coaching and masterclasses, and is designed to supercharge leadership skills and create an annual cohort of eight female leaders who will be professional sounding boards and confidants for each other for the rest of their careers. The programme will cover topics such as persuading and influencing, landing key messages, motivating and empowering teams and setting work culture as well as profile-raising and thought leadership.

Course leader Tracy Forsyth said: “I work with many senior leaders across the film and tv industry on a one-to-one basis and I saw the power of creating a group of leaders who are walking the same path and sharing some of the same obstacles to come together in an inclusive, supportive, and safe space to discuss, learn and share best practice.

“Leadership is seldom taught, and it can be lonely and full of self-doubt.  But there is a job to be done if we want to change the fact of the establishment and this is one way to do it!”

Applications close on Tuesday 25 April, 5pm. Click here to submit your nomination
