Sandra Bullock will be filming in London next year in an action thriller inspired by the 2004 French film Le Convoyeur.

Cash Truck will see Bullock as Alex, a cash-strapped American in London who ends up working at an armoured car company that has recently been targeted in a dangerous heist.

Josef Wladyka (Narcos, Animal Kingdom) directs from a screenplay by John Hodge, Ethan Erwin and Albert Hughes. Joel Silver produces for Silver Pictures with Hal Sadoff as executive producer.

Cash Truck is one of many inward investment projects due to be setting up in the UK over the next few months. Figures released by the BFI earlier this summer show that inward investment films made up £880m of the total £982m production spend in the first half of this year.
