Honda introduces intuitive new ad campaign

Creative agency McGarryBowen London have launched a new pan-European ad campaign for Honda that features a quirky hypnotic illusion illustrating the brand’s aim to keep creating a more advanced car that will just keep developing itself.
Produced by London-based Gorgeous the new commercial shows the Honda CR-V being driven along a road that is seemingly never ending, portrayed as being infinitely looped the camera keeps zooming into another spiral as day turns into night.

The road in the film is based on Pigtail Bridge in South Dakota, USA; unfortunately it was impossible to film there so the team recreated the road as a detailed model at Shepperton Studios. The group then used the replica with high-tech 3D tools to generate the ad.
In addition to the main film McGarryBowen have created the world’s first never-ending YouTube film. Hosted on the Honda YouTube channel the video runs continuously with a neat addition of it being personalised to the viewer’s environment using real-time data.
Jemma Jones, Senior Marketing Communications Manager for Honda says: “Following last year’s successful Illusions campaign, we were confident in McGarryBowen’s ability to launch the latest version of our flagship model, the CR-V, with ground-breaking creative that lives up to our rich advertising legacy. The ‘Endless Road’ delivers against that promise”.
