Harlan Coben”s Safe films this summer
Harlan Coben”s next TV drama to film in the UK is now in pre-production with shooting due to be underway later in the summer.
Previously called The Four, Safe comes from Red Production Company and is a standalone, character-driven thriller about a family community left devastated by secrets and lies.
The drama is for delivery to Netflix and Canal+, and is created by Coben with Danny Brocklehurst – a regular Red collaborator – also on writing duty.

Shooting will run for five months on the hefty drama, which comprises 8 x 60 and which follows the success of best-selling novelist Coben”s first original TV project, The Five, which aired on Sky 1 and which filmed in Liverpool.
Red is also busy on another Brocklehust project, Come Home – details on PI – and has an adaptation of Henry James” The Portrait of a Lady in development.
