Comedy Central UK renews Jimmy Carr series

Tuesday’s Child’s Am I The A**hole? secures second series alongside Roast the Internet and Stupid Central

Jimmy Carr’s Am I The A**hole? from Tuesday’s Child is among three shows to have been extended into second series by Comedy Central UK.

Iain Stirling’s Roast the Internet (8 x 60 minutes) and Stupid Central (20 x 30 minutes), presented by Babatundé Aléshé, have also been recommissioned. Both are produced in-house by MTV Entertainment Studios.

Jimmy Carr’s Am I The A**hole? (8 x 60 minutes), which delves into the popular Reddit thread, was the best performing Comedy Central UK original in over three years, according to the broadcaster, and achieved the best social performance for an original series in more than six years with over 100 million video views and 1 million engagements.

The panel show will see host Jimmy Carr return alongside GK Barry and stand-up Jamali Maddix, with the trio passing “no-holds-barred judgements” on members of the public for their questionable behaviour.

The second series will again be produced by Tuesday’s Child with creative director Steph Harris serving as exec producer alongside Marc Beaulac, creator of the Am I The A**hole Reddit page that has 24 million people worldwide in its online community. Mia Cross is series producer.

Iain Stirling’s Roast The Internet is helmed by the comedian alongside three guest comics and celebrities on each episode, as they comment on online haters, with the series featuring clips and stand-up performances. Exec producers are Luke Shiach and Iestyn Barker.

Stupid Central delivers “the funniest, craziest and hopelessly foolish clips” from around the world, with Adam Copeland exec producer.

All series are commissioned by MTV Entertainment Studios duo Luke Hales, senior vice-president of content and brand strategy, and Iestyn Barker, vice-president of original series and development.

Barker said: “It’s been great to see all three of these new commissions resonating so well with Comedy Central UK viewers. Alongside Rosie Jones’ Out of Order, which aired its second series earlier this year, we are delighted to have this strong and varied slate of returning UK originals for 2026.”

Harris added: “Building on the success of the subreddit, we always hoped the show would resonate and turns out, people love watching Jimmy, GK and Jamali roast strangers’ questionable behaviour almost as much as the internet loves submitting it, with viewers turning judges as the conversations continued online, delivering a 360 engagement in the a**holery debate.”

Aléshé said: “”I’m so unbelievably proud to be returning to Stupid Central for Comedy Central UK. I love this show and the whole team work incredibly hard to create a really funny format that gives audiences a bit of joy. I can’t wait to get started again.”

All three series will air later this year on Comedy Central UK, which is part of Paramount, the US studio that recently struck a deal to buy Warner Bros Discovery.
