Churchill feature to film in Scotland

An upcoming biopic of Winston Churchill is heading to film in Scotland, with shooting set to start in late May.

The feature, simply called Churchill, stars Brian Cox as the wartime leader, with Miranda Richardson as his wife Clementine and Suki Waterhouse as Helen Garrett. Jonathan Teplitzky (The Railway Man) directs from a screenplay by Alex von Tunzelmann. The producers are Paul Van Carter and Nick Taussig of Salon Pictures.

From 26 April, PI subscribers can log in for shoot dates plus the names of the (new) line producer, production designer, location manager and production manager.

The location choice should boost Scotland”s international production profile – the country is currently beleaguered by the lack of a dedicated studio facility, with pressure mounting on the Scottish government from the creative industries to formalise a decision.

PI currently has 124 projects in pre-production; non-subscribers can request a free demo here.
