Roath Lock Studios, the recently-constructed drama hub of BBC Cymru Wales, is to be home to a major new children”s drama series, due to go into preproduction in a couple of weeks.

The studios already provide a permanent and purpose-built home to four popular BBC dramas: ‘Doctor Who”, ‘Casualty”, ‘Upstairs Downstairs” and ‘Pobol y Cwm”.

The shiny new show, ‘Aliens Vs Wizards”, comes from ‘Doctor Who” showrunner Russell T Davies, and shoots from April to July. It is produced in association with Fremantle Enterprises.
