E4 sitcom to film in Bristol
A six-week shoot begins in February on Wasted, a new sitcom for E4, with filming based in Bristol.
From BAFTA-winning writers James Lamont and Jon Foster (Cuckoo, Paddington, Amazing World of Gumball), the 6 x 30 comedy revolves around four friends, Morpheus, Sarah, Kent and Alison, who are wasting their lives in a West Country village.
On Production Intelligence from 18 December you will find the shoot dates along with the names of the producer, director, line producer and location manager. John O”Callaghan and Richard Osborne executive produce.
The series comes from Angel Eye Media, whose managing director Richard Osborne said of the commission when it was first announced: ““The experiences of young people living away from the big cities make for some very fertile comic ground and the scripts from Jon and James are hilarious. They”ve really nailed what it”s like to hang out with old mates – and at the same time make some huge leaps of imagination.”
There are currently 17 scripted TV comedies in development on Production Intelligence; non-subscribers can click here for a demo.
