The large, ensemble cast of Avengers: Doomsday was revealed in a live stream on Marvel’s social channels

A few months after The Fantastic Four: First Steps was filmed at Pinewood Studios, Avengers: Doomsday is now in production in the UK for Disney, with a cast including Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd and Sebastian Stan.

The reveal was dropped gradually on a live stream on Marvel’s socials yesterday (26 March).

The previously-confirmed Robert Downey Jr – who will play Doctor Doom – will now be joined by Paul Rudd, Vanessa Kirby, Florence Pugh, Letitia Wright, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Channing Tatum, James Marsden, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. Most are playing their former characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo; they will also be at the helm of Avengers: Secret Wars, that will likely shoot next year. Marvel’s UK footprint also includes Spider-Man 4, lined up to shoot later this year.
