The film re-visits Ritchie’s regular hunting ground of the back-stabbing world of the British aristocracy

Guy Ritchie’s next feature film will be Wife & Dog, set to film in the UK in February 2025 with a stellar cast led by Benedict Cumberbatch, Anthony Hopkins and Rosamund Pike.

Little is known about the plot, but the official tagline says the film is set in the “colourful, back-stabbing world of the British aristocracy”. The screenplay is by Ritchie, who also produces alongside long-time producing partner Ivan Atkinson and Black Bear’s John Friedberg.

Executive producers include Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler for Black Bear; Wife & Dog is the third collaboration with Ritchie and Atkinson following The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and In the Grey.

Ritchie is coming off directing duties on Prime Video’s Young Sherlock and is currently shooting episodes of crime drama The Donovans for Paramount+ and Showtime, also filming in the UK.

Hopkins has a busy year ahead, as he is also due to star in The Housekeeper and The King of Covent Garden, also eyeing shoots in the early part of next year.
