A 12-week shoot has wrapped on the big-screen adaptation Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club.

The feature has been produced as part of Netflix and Amblin’s film partnership; Chris Columbus directs while Jennifer Todd produces. The executive producers are Holly Bario, Jeb Brody and Eleanor Columbus.

Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie star, joined by a supporting cast including David Tennant, Daniel Mays, Naomi Ackie, Jonathan Pryce and Henry Lloyd-Hughes.

The story follows a group of friends in a retirement home who gather to solve murders for fun, but find themselves caught in a real case. Mirren will play ex-spy Elizabeth, Imrie plays Joyce, Kingsley is ex-psychiatrist Ibrahim and Brosnan portrays Ron.

The production was based at Shepperton Studios – where Netflix has a long-term lease – and locations around the UK including Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
