Director Kirk Jones is at the helm of a new biographical feature, I Swear, with filming now underway in Glasgow and surrounding areas.

The film centres on John Davidson, who was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome when he was 15. In the 1980s, when John was a teenager, fewer people were aware of the neurological condition, and he struggled with the reactions that his symptoms provoked.

Jones is calling the shots from his own screenplay; he also produces alongside Tempo’s Piers Tempest and Georgia Bayliff; the film comes from One Story High and Tempo Productions. James Blann is director of photography.

Tempo is a prolific UK production company; cameras have just finished rolling on romantic comedy-drama Falling and the team recently completed filming on Bank of Dave The Sequel, starring Rory Kinnear, Chrissy Metz and Amit Shah.

Kirk Jones’ best-known credits include My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, What to Expect When You’re Expecting and Nanny McPhee.
