Production is underway in the UK on Wicked Little Letters, starring Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley.
StudioCanal and Blueprint Pictures are co-producing the feature with Colman’s South of the River Pictures. Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin produce for Blueprint, alongside Colman.
The comedy reunites Colman and Buckley – they co-starred in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s 2021 feature The Lost Daughter – and is based on real events. Set in 1920s Littlehampton, the story centres on two disparate neighbours who come together to solve the mystery of who is sending obscene and scandalous letters to some of the town’s residents. ~
Actor/writer Jonny Sweet has penned the screenplay; Thea Sharrock directs.
