Game of Thrones wraps forever
The eighth and final series of Game of Thrones is due to wrap forever on 3 August.
Filming began in mid-October last year on the six-part run with production based at its usual home Titanic Studios in Belfast.
The HBO fantasy drama has been credited with raising Belfast”s international filming profile since it began production in 2010, as well as promoting a surge in film tourism to its many global locations such as Iceland.
Other major dramas have followed Game of Thrones to Northern Ireland – Warner Horizon”s Krypton became the first major show to shoot at the newly-developed Belfast Harbour Studios last year and is currently in pre-production at the facility on Series 2.
A crew call with email address is listed on Krypton 2”s entry on Production Intelligence.
The Belfast Telegraph recently reported that staff at the Paint Hall Studios – part of the Titanic site – have been told that a Game of Thrones prequel with the working title The Long Night is lining up an October shoot.
Liam Neeson and Lesley Manville are currently in Belfast shooting feature film Normal People, while BBC Two single drama Doing Money is also filming in the city.
