Wildflame to deliver C5 doc about the Frogmore Estate

FrogmoreWales-based factual indie Wildflame is producing a feature-length documentary for C5 about the Frogmore Estate, which includes royal residence Frogmore House.

Frogmore: A Royal Residence Through Time (w/t) is a 1 x 90-minute film about the varied history of Frogmore – seen as a secret royal bolt-hole and recently home to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – with contributions from experts with insider knowledge of the estate.

Connie Fisher, head of development, Wildflame Productions, said: “As the Frogmore Estate is only open to the public for a handful of days each year, this is an amazing chance to delve into its rich history and tell some of the incredible stories stored within these unique grounds.

“At Wildflame, we are passionate about uncovering the hidden stories that lie at the heart of our collective cultural heritage and Frogmore House provides an incredible canvas to explore the rich history and cultural significance of this iconic location. With our extensive experience in producing engaging and informative documentaries, we are delighted to bring this remarkable story to life for Channel 5’s viewers.”

Frogmore: A Royal Residence Through Time (w/t) was commissioned by Lucy Willis, commissioning editor non-scripted, Channel 5/Paramount+. It is exec produced by Simon Kerfoot for Wildflame Productions.

Based in Cardiff, Wildflame is a well-established factual production company with recent credits including another C5 commission, Wonderful Wales With Michael Ball. The company was founded in 2015 by Paul Islwyn Thomas, and subsequently returned to being wholly independent in June 2020, after exiting  Flame Media Group.
