Series 2 returned to The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol and filmed in various West Country locations

Am I Being Unreasonable? S2 was filmed on location last summer in the West Country and at Bristol’s Bottle Yard Studios, showcasing backdrops in Somerset and Gloucestershire.

The series is written by and stars Daisy May Cooper as Nic and Selin Hizli as Jen, and is made by Boffola Pictures. The team returned to The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol to film the second run on purpose-bult sets for the interior of the family home belonging to Nic and the caravan she goes on to share with Jen.

West Country locations included Wookey in Somerset and Chavenage House in Gloucestershire. Filming was interrupted from June 2024 as Cooper was rushed from the set to hospital due to her baby arriving prematurely; the 6 x 30’ production ultimately wrapped in October.

Choice of locations

Chrissie Broadway, head of production, Boffola Pictures, said: “The West Country itself – with its rich locations, from the quaint streets of Somerset to the grand estates of Gloucestershire – has such a unique character, which adds layers of depth to our story. Couple all of that with the amazing local production talent and there really couldn’t be a better home for Am I Being Unreasonable?.”

Laura Aviles, head of film, Bristol City Council, stressed the local links and the importance of scripted productions to the economy : “It was our pleasure to welcome Boffola Pictures and the whole team back to The Bottle Yard for a second series of Am I Being Unreasonable?. Daisy is such a significant talent from the region and it’s our goal to support local talent wherever we can to make outstanding screen content.

“Productions like this are hugely beneficial to our film sector, generating around £30m per year towards the local economy whilst creating employment and boosting spending throughout the supply chain. We very much hope to be welcoming Boffola back for a third series soon!”

The producer of Am I Being Unreasonable? 2 is Pippa Brown; the director is Emily McDonald and the executive producers are Shane Allen, Cooper, Hizli and Jack Thorne.

The commissioning editor for the BBC is Tanya Qureshi, head of BBC Comedy. BBC Studios, that has a minority investment stake in Boffola Pictures, hold global distribution rights and closed the deal for both series with SBS and TVNZ.
