UK shoot begins on Amazon MGM’s Masters of the Universe

Mary & George actor Nicholas Galitzine plays the lead of He-Man/Prince Adam in Masters of the Universe
Amazon MGM and Mattel’s big-screen iteration of Masters of the Universe begins a UK shoot this week (w/c 17 February), starring Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man/Prince Adam.
Plot details are under wraps on the film; Travis Knight is calling the shots from a screenplay by Chris Butler. Escape Artists produces with Mattel Films for Amazon MGM; Idris Elba, Alison Brie and Camila Mendes co-star.
Mary & George actor Galitzine, who will play the live-action version of the iconic Mattel doll, He-Man, said in an interview with W magazine: “No pressure, I just have to embody the strongest man in the universe”, before going on to describe the weightlifting and dietary regime he was undergoing to take on the role.
