Award-winning actor Brian Cox (Braveheart, The Bourne Identity) stars as Sir Matt Busby. Children, primarily from the North of England with varying acting experience, have been cast to play younger roles. Jack Smith will play the lead role of Georgie.

Theatre of Dreams is being directed by Manchester-born David Scheinmann. Double Emmy-nominated Bill and Ben Productions, Justin Peyton and Manuela Noble are producing. Mark Sandell is Executive producing. Theatre of Dreams will be distributed in the UK, in 2012, by Trinity Films, who are also co-financing.
