Vines at the ready – the new Warner Bros. version of Tarzan is gearing up to swing into action for a summer shoot here in the UK.

True Blood actor Alexander Skarsgard is donning the loincloth as the titular noble savage with the unusual upbringing. Skargsgard is joined by a stellar cast including Margot Robbie, Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Djimon Hounsou and Osy Ikhile.

Harry Potter supremo David Yates is directing from a screenplay by Craig Brewer and Stuart Beattie; Yates has collaborated closely in the past with the American studio giant.

Here at The Knowledge we are hoping that Andy Serkis’ new live-action version of The Jungle Book will also come to shoot at the same studio – imagine the scenes at lunch…
