Shooting begins in the north-west of England next week (w/c 8 July) on House of Guinness (w/t), a sweeping new drama from Steven Knight about the world-famous brewery dynasty.

The story is set in 19th century Dublin and New York, and centres on the aftermath of the death of Benjamin Guinness, and the consequences for his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben as the company grows and grows.

When the series was announced, Netflix VP content Anne Mensah said the drama has “all the power of Peaky Blinders but the scale and the sweep of a true family saga.”

Production Intelligence subscribers have had access to full details on House of Guinness since March, including the UK studio being used, and the key department heads on board. To request a free online demo, click here.

Knight is also busy on the film version of Peaky Blinders, due to short early autumn at his Digbeth. Loc Studios in Birmingham, with Cillian Murphy reprising his role of the now-iconic Tommy Shelby.
