Filming gets underway at Pinewood Studios this week on The Awakening, a new thriller from director Matt Routledge.

Produced by Camelot Films, the feature centres on a man who uncovers a global conspiracy and sets out to try to alert the world.

The film stars Justin Tinto as the man on the global mission, along with Steven Berkoff, Julian Glover, Peter Stormare and Matt Hookings. Tinto also wrote the original script.

Hookings and Tim Kent produce for Camelot. Kent told The Knowledge: “I am thrilled to be shooting my new movie Awakening at Pinewood Studios. Pinewood has such an amazing history and having the opportunity to shoot here is always amazing.”

Camelot’s previous credits include alien sci-fi horror The Seed and Prizefighter: The Life of Jem Belcher with Russell Crowe.
