Starry cast on Neil Gaiman adaptation

A starry cast including Nicole Kidman is lining up for How to Talk to Girls at Parties, due to shoot in the UK in the autumn.

The feature is an adaptation of a Neil Gaiman short story in which a galaxy-travelling alien (played by Elle Fanning) leaves her group and arrives in… Croydon.

Described as a ‘punks and aliens rom-com’, the film is also set to star Matt Lucas and Ruth Wilson. It is directed by Hedwig and the Angry Inch’s John Cameron Mitchell from a screenplay he wrote with Philippa Goslett.

Iain Canning and Emile Sherman of See-Saw Films produce alongside Howard Gertler.

With offices in the UK and Australia, See-Saw Films are managing several titles at the moment: With a June release for their Michael Fassbender-starrer Slow West and Ian McKellen playing the famous detective in Mr Holmes, the shingle is also enjoying the current buzz surround another Fassbender project, Macbeth, which also stars Marion Cotillard.
