Martin Compston guest-stars in the second series with Jing Lusi, Lesley Sharp, Jemma Moore reprising their roles from the first run last year

Filming has just begun (w/c 24 February) on the second series of Red Eye, with Jing Lusi, Lesley Sharp, Jemma Moore and guest star Martin Compston.

Peter A Dowling writes the 6 x 60’ conspiracy thriller for Bad Wolf with Jingan Young returning to write an episode; Julie Gardner and Lachlan MacKinnon executive produce. Chris May is producer with Kieron Hawkes and Camilla Strøm Henriksen directing eps 1-3 and 4-6 respectively.

Jing Lusi reprises her role of DS Hana Li with Lesley Sharp and Jemma Moore returning as head of MI5 Madeline Delaney and journalist Jess Li.

Jing Lusi said: “I’m incredibly excited to return to the world of Red Eye, and thrilled to be sharing this rollercoaster with the brilliant Martin Compston.”

Compston added: “I’m delighted to be joining the Red Eye team. Hoping to build on the massive success of the first series and give viewers another thrilling ride.”
