The Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB) is seeking a new chair as Lyndsay Duthie is stepping down after five years in the role.

Duthie is taking up a new post at the end of January 2025 as Pro Vice-Chancellor Academic Partnerships and Industry Engagement at University for the Creative Arts (UCA). The organisation will begin the recruitment process for a new CEO this week; see bottom of article.

During her time heading the PGGB, Duthie was instrumental in launching many new initiatives – leading on the formation of six PGGB Nations & Regions Committees, in line with the British Film Commission’s Stage Space Support Development hub centres, to increase support for members and partners across the breadth of the UK and launching the organisation’s first Diversity and Inclusion Action Group and Sustainability Committee.

Duthie also landed the Guild’s first Royal Patron, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, and created an award bearing his name: The Duke of Edinburgh Film and TV Inclusion Award which is presented annually at PGGB’s Talent Showcase, in association with Walt Disney Studios, as well as overseeing the £500k Talent Development Fund.

I am so proud of all that has been achieved in partnership with PGGB’s stellar board. It is never an easy decision to leave something you are so passionate about, but I know that PGGB is in solid position to build on for the future, and I wish all the continued success to you all.”
