Merman co-founder sets up new prodco at All3Media
The new label has a development slate of drama and comedy projects
Merman co-founder Clelia Mountford is setting up Sunburnt Penguin, a new scripted-production label at All3Media.
Mountford founded Merman with Sharon Horgan in 2014; recent credits include Bad Sisters, the second series of which lands on Apple TV+ later this month. Mountford also executive produced the upcoming Channel 4 series, Disability Benefits with Rosie Jones, Amandaland for BBC One and produced the Sky comedy drama Dreamland, starring Lily Allen and Freema Agyeman.
Mountford was the producer and executive producer of two series of There She Goes (BBC Two), with further comedy credits including three series of Motherland (BBC Two), two series of Frayed for Sky One and ABC Australia, written by and starring Sarah Kendall and both series of comedy drama This Way Up (Channel 4/HULU) written by and starring Aisling Bea.
