Matt Smith stars as self-confessed lothario Bunny Munro in the drama, based on the novel by Nick Cave
Sky has unveiled a first-look image from The Death of Bunny Munro, starring Matt Smith.
The image shows Smith as the eponymous Munro, alongside newcomer Rafael Mathé, who plays Bunny Junior.
Produced by Clerkenwell Films in association with Sky Studios, the six-part series was adapted by Pete Jackson from Nick Cave’s second novel and directed by Isabella Eklöf.
Cave also executive-produced, with commissioning editor, Manpreet Dosanjh for Sky Studios; Petra Fried, Ed Macdonald and Emily Harrison for Clerkenwell Films; Smith, Jackson and Eklöf. Matthew Mulot produced.
Following his wife’s suicide, self-professed lothario and door-to-door beauty production salesman Bunny Munro finds himself in charge of his nine-year-old son, with little idea of how to be a father.
The two embark on a road trip across Southern England, that spirals out of control as they struggle with their grief.
The 14-week shoot begin in early May this year, and took in a variety of locations along the south coast, including Brighton and Hove, Worthing, Saltdean Lido, Shoreham-by-Sea and Eastbourne.
