Major new film and TV studio opens in east London
The studio has 12 soundstages ranging from 16,000 sq ft to 32,000 sq ft
Eastbrook Studios has opened in east London, the largest film and TV campus in the capital.
Established in Dagenham by production facilities specialists The MBS Group and Hackman Capital Partners, the 21.5-acre complex houses 12 soundstages ranging from 16,000 sq ft to 32,000 sq ft.
The purpose-built stages provide up to 50-foot clear heights, operable walls between stages to allow for interconnectivity, and gantries, along with workshop, office and production support spaces. Backlot areas are also available.
Eastbrook Studios’ managing director Brantley Bissette said: “Our modern and technologically advanced stages have the flexibility to welcome productions of every scale and type.
“This new creative hub, right here in London, is among the world’s finest. We’re extremely proud to be delivering world-class infrastructure to both domestic and international productions.”
Close to a District Line station, Eastbrook has a BREEAM rating of Excellent (BREEAM is a system to specify and measure the sustainability performance of buildings). The team behind the complex is also collaborating with the local council to explore local training and employment opportunities.
