The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde is a contemporary psychological thriller.

Branagh is calling the shots from his own screenplay; among his producing team are ‘Belfast’ collaborators Tamar Thomas, Laura Berwick, and Becca Kovacik, alongside Branagh’s regular colleague Matthew Jenkins and Maximum Effort’s Johnny Pariseau and Ashley Fox.

Comer recently finished filming 28 Years Later, the first feature in a planned trilogy based on the 28 Days Later franchise from director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland. Shooting took place in north-east locations including Northumberland.

As an actor, Branagh is coming off Mayday, an action adventure feature with Ryan Reynolds that recently wrapped a Montreal shoot. As director, his most recent picture is the starry A Haunting in Venice, the third in his Agatha Christie trilogy in which Branagh plays iconic Belgian detective Hercule Poirot.
