Jamie Dornan plays twins in thriller, filming in Scotland for Netflix
Production gets underway this week in Scottish locations on The Undertow, a new, eight-part thriller for Netflix starring Jamie Dornan.
The series is an English-language remake of a Norwegian crime drama, Twin, from Nordisk Film Production AS.
Dornan plays the dual roles of identical twins Lee and Adam. Having been estranged from his brother, Lee suddenly turns up, creating tension with Adam’s wife. When a terrible accident occurs, Lee and Nicola are thrown together as she is driven to protect her children.
The 8 x 60’ drama is produced by Complete Fiction, with filming due to take place in locations including the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Mull.
Producer Nira Park said at the time of the official announcement: “From the winding mountain roads, the lochs that reflect an endless sky, and the sea that promises both escape and danger, The Undertow captures the claustrophobia, isolation and breathtaking beauty of a small coastal community, as lies from the past flood back and threaten to destroy it.”
