Jack Whitehall films Decline and Fall in Wales

BBC Two”s new three-part adaptation of Evelyn Waugh”s Decline and Fall is setting up to film in Wales from mid-July.

The production will be based at Pinewood”s Welsh facility, and will also shoot on various locations around south Wales.

From 9th June, PI subscribers can login for details on the shoot dates along with key hires including the line producer, production co-ordinator, location manager and casting director.

The social satire has been adapted by Rev writer James Wood, and centres on Paul Pennyfeather (played by Jack Whitehall) who, having been sent down from Oxford, finds work as a schoolmaster at a boys” school in Wales.

Spanish director Guillem Morales (Julia”s Eyes) is at the helm of the 3 x 60, which comes from Tiger Aspect and Cave Bear Productions.

Wales” filming profile has never been higher – currently hosting the fourth series of Sherlock and international co-production The Collection among others, it will also be welcoming major feature films The Angel Makers, A War of Their Own and Where Hands Touch later this year.
