Producer exclusively tells The Knowledge about debut feature and working with House of the Dragon and Motherland stars.

Shooting begins today, Tuesday 23 July, on Clover Fox Films’ debut feature, All That Glitters, a modern retelling of the classic tale Romeo and Juliet. This contemporary adaptation stars Motherland’s Paul Ready and Elliot Grihault, best known for House of the Dragon.

Production company Clover Fox Films was founded by Peter Lavery and Joe Andrews in 2023. With Lavery directing, All That Glitters follows the story of a young student (Grihault) who receives guidance from Shakespeare’s ghost (Ready), helping him secure the role of Romeo in a school play.

Producer Andrews exclusively told The Knowledge: “It’s incredibly rewarding to see our year and a half of hard work and passion pay off. It is now time to hand the baton over to the exceptionally talented cast and crew we have onboard.”

Shooting is taking place at Haybridge High School & Sixth Form Worcestershire, a location that holds a special significance for Andrews, who revealed to us: “Haybridge also happens to be the school which I attended as a teenager, so it only feels serendipitous to kick-start this debut journey from the place where the dream of being a filmmaker started.”
