HETV programmes launched in Wales

HETV programmes launched in Wales

The new HETV ScreenSkills Wales Working Group has announced two new programmes to support those working in the industry in Wales.

A new Welsh HETV head of department development programme aims to support those working in comedy or continuing drama in Wales looking to take their next step into high end television drama in Wales.

Three funded placements will help individuals ‘step up” to an HoD role or shadow an HoD working in assistant role. If you are part of a production in Wales which is paying into the HETV Skills Fund, and can offer a placement, or if you would like to apply to benefit from a placement yourself, get in touch; details below.

The ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund is also looking for an HETV production in Wales, which is contributing to the HETV Skills Fund, to offer a six-month script editor placement opportunity for an assistant/ trainee script editor on an HETV production filming in Wales.

The HETV skills fund would fund £16,000 towards the script editor”s placement and would support the trainee with a range of training opportunities and networking events with senior industry figures across Wales. Funding is available to support two trainee opportunities. If you are part of a production interested in supporting a placement or if you would like to apply for a placement yourself, get in touch (see below).

For any further information about these programmes, which are supported by the HETV ScreenSkills Wales Working Group, please contact ScreenSkills Wales Training Manager Rebecca Meredith at Rebecca.meredith@screenskills.com or 07817 238300.
