Screen, Broadcast and KFTV launch Global Production Awards 2023

Our sister sites Screen International, Broadcast and KFTV are launching the Global Production Awards, which aim to celebrate outstanding and sustainable work in the world of film and TV production, locations and studios.

In association with sister brands KFTV and Broadcast, the Global Production Awards will spotlight the initiatives and projects that set the highest standards in sustainability and diversity in production.

Categories will also recognise the best locations around the world, the stand-out studios, outstanding creative crews, ideas, and executions, and what the very best locations and commissions bring to production teams.

The Global Production Awards are open to all organisations and companies working in the film and TV industry including studios, production companies, film commissions, location, suppliers and manufacturers and any services involved in film and TV production.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023.

There are 12 categories in total. They are:

  • Sustainable Initiative Award
  • Sustainable Production Award
  • City of Film
  • Diversity & Inclusion Award
  • Emerging Location Award
  • Location of the Year Award
  • Community Impact Award
  • Production Innovation Award
  • Film Commission Team Award
  • Production Team Award
  • Outstanding Use of Locations – Film or TV Series
  • Studio of the Year

To enter, please head to the Global Production Awards website

Each category will be judged by leading industry experts from around the world. Specialist media and production consultancy Olsberg SPI will be partnering with Screen, with CEO Jonathan Olsberg and MD Leon Forde joining the industry judging panels.

They said: “Our firm is delighted to be supporting the launch of Screen International’s Global Production Awards as a partner. At Olsberg SPI, we are constantly researching and advising global locations and production hubs and helping countries and cities create the right environment for the needs of producers.

“Along with many others, we believe it is vital that the industry puts sustainability, diversity and socially conscious production at the heart of how it works. These awards will celebrate the gold standard of production and locations across TV and film and help benchmark for the very best work in the industry.”
