Future Films Shuts Down Pepper Post

Following a full review of its operations, film studio Future Films Group has decided to focus on its main activities of media finance, production and digital distribution and is pulling out of the post production sector.  In practice, this means that Soho-based Pepper Post is ceasing trading.

Future Film, which only bought Pepper in August 2010, says it is now the intention of the Board to focus on finding a buyer for the business as a going concern, which it believes is in the best interests of its valued staff. CEO Stephen Margolis said “The Board and I would like to thank the staff for their contribution whilst at Pepper and regret that the state of the market has brought us to this decision.”

Pepper has an excellent creative reputation and has done work recently on series like Luther and Sherlock. The company handling the sale (and paying off creditors) is David Rubin & Partners, which says there have been a number of expressions of interest in acquiring the firm.
