Production is underway (w/c 20 January) on the second series of Apple TV+’s thriller Criminal Record, starring Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo.

Paul Rutman writes the London-set show, that is produced by STV Studios and Tod Productions. The executive producers are Elaine Collins , Chris Sussman, Rutman, Capaldi and Jumbo.

Series Two of Criminal Record sees DS June Lenker (Jumbo) on the scene when a political rally is attacked by a far-right group, resulting in the death of a young man. June’s best hope of solving the murder is to call upon DCI Daniel Hegarty (Capaldi), now in police intelligence.

The second run is filming at a London studio – Production Intelligence subscribers have access to the details – as well as in multiple London locations.

Apple TV+ has long had a strong production presence in the UK, with current shoots including Down Cemetery Road and Silo S3, and with Hijack S2 and Slow Horses S5-6 having recently wrapped principal photography.
