Scripted manager Jonny Richards and France-based Kevin Deysson also upped at streamer

Disney+ European content boss Angela Jain has made a series of promotions to her team, including upping UK-based Sean Doyle and Lee Mason.

Doyle has been made vice president of unscripted and Mason handed the same title for scripted. The pair previously held the title of executive director of unscripted and scripted originals, respectively, which they were given by Jain’s predecessor Liam Keelan in 2024.

In addition, Mason’s scripted colleague Jonny Richards has stepped up to become director of scripted from his previous role as senior manager of scripted content.

Jain also promoted Kevin Deysson from director of original productions, France to a vice president position. He will report to Jain, as will Doyle and Mason, whilst Richards will report to Mason.

The promotions mark the first major move for former ITV Studios exec Jain since she joined the streamer as head of content for EMEA in September. She revealed the promotions in an internal memo to staff, seen by Broadcast, stating they set the team up “for long-term success in EMEA”.

“These changes are focused on how we structure and strengthen the team for what comes next. As our originals ambitions continue to grow, we need leaders with the expertise, judgement and vision to guide teams, develop talent and consistently deliver creative excellence at the highest level,” she wrote, praising the quartet as being “pivotal” to the streamer’s success in Europe.

“We are building a team designed for the future, demonstrating our continued commitment to growing our originals pipeline and greenlighting even more ambitious productions.”

Mason’s scripted team recently launched the second series of period drama A Thousand Blows and is gearing up for the second run of its hit Rivals, as well as six-part comedy Mosquito. Doyle’s team is prepping ob docs The Rooneys (w/t) and Jamie and Sophie: Raising Chelsea (w/t), as well as the streamer’s first foray into entertainment with a revival of Blind Date.

The streamer last week inked a two-year first-look deal with Stephen Graham and Hannah Walters’ indie Matriarch Productions.
