The final, feature-length episode began filming five weeks ago at a Scottish studio with David Tennant and Michael Sheen

The final, feature-length episode of Amazon Prime’s Good Omens is wrapping in Scotland, following a five-week shoot.

The one-off, 90-minute finale replaced the previously-planned third series, and filmed and Pyramids Studios in Bathgate, between Edinburgh and Glasgow. The studio has previously hosted T2 Trainspotting and The Outlaw King.

David Tennant and Michael Sheen have played the demon Crowley and angel Aziraphale respectively since S1 that landed on the streamer back in 2019, with the second run airing in 2023.

The first series filmed on location in England and used set-builds at Bovingdon Airfield Studios. Scottish director Douglas MacKinnon then became instrumental in steering the second run to be based in Scotland, where it filmed from October 2021 for 18 weeks.

Good Omens final episode is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, BBC Studios Productions and Narritivia.

The drama is based on the novel Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman; it was reported the latter had contributed to the writing of the series finale, but would not be working on the production.
