Hartswood Films’; award winning Sherlock, co-created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, has scooped another award, having just been presented with the prestigious Prix Europa Award for ‘;Best Episode of a Television Fiction Series or Serial of the Year 2011.’;

At the high profile awards gala in Berlin this weekend, ‘Sherlock: A Study In Pink” was praised as a ‘fresh adaptation” of a timeless classic, visually inventive and made in an arresting style, bringing well known characters to a new audience.

The show has already garnered several awards in the UK including the Best Drama Series at this year’;s BAFTA Awards, as well as being recognised internationally with the prestigious American Peabody Award for Entertainment, the Television Critics Association (TCA) Award for Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries and Specials and the Canadian BANFF Award for Best Continuing Series.

Hartswood have recently finished shooting three more Sherlock films for transmission next year on BBC One.
