Comedy Central confirms recommissions including Drunk History: Black Stories

Drunk HistoriesDrunk Histories: Black Stories is to return to Comedy Central next month, hosted by Julie Adenuga.
 

A spinoff of Comedy Central’s flagship Drunk History franchise, the series will once again recognise Black history’s unsung heroes with help from various celebrities.

The series is produced by FAN Studios with executive producers Femi Oyeniran and Nicky “Slimting” Walker. The executive producers for Comedy Central are Collins Harris and Rebecca Hewett-Farmer.
 

The series, due to air internationally, comprises 6 x 10’ episodes that will tx first on 16 October on Comedy Central’s digital channels followed by 3 x 22’ linear specials airing from 9 November.  
 

Those appearing in the second run include: Big Shaq aka Michael Dappah; Darkwah; Kojey Radical; Marvin Abbey; Sophie Duker; Tolly T and Zeze Mills. 
 

Comedy Central has also ordered a second series of East and Southeast Asian sketch show East Mode and a fourth run of Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains; the channel also announced recently that it has commissioned a Rosie Jones-fronted game show, Out of Order, filming this year.
