Bafta names Lisa Campbell executive director of programmes
ITN communications director joins organisation’s senior leadership team
Bafta has appointed ITN director of corporate comms Lisa Campbell as executive director of programmes.
Joining the senior leadership team this spring, Campbell will lead on all Bafta talent programmes such as the Bafta Bursary Programme and Bafta Elevate.
She will also lead Bafta’s programme of editorial activities for the screen industry, driving conversation, debate and thought leadership across Film, Games and TV.
Campbell will report into Bafta chief executive Jane Millichip.
At ITN, Campbell has lead the organisation’s profile-building, overseeing ITN’s first major rebrand in more than a decade.
Last year Campbell was seconded to lead the Creative Cities Convention in Bradford.
Previously, she was chief executive and festival director of the Edinburgh International Television Festival and the TV Foundation, leading the annual festival’s year-round programme and shaped the summer event’s schedule. Prior to that, Campbell spent over a decade at Broadcast, including as editor.
“Lisa is an incredibly accomplished media executive with a wealth of experience and expertise in debating the issues that matter, engaging the industry, seeking solutions, and promoting a rich and diverse talent pipeline,” said Bafta chief executive Jane Millichip.
Campbell said she is “excited to join BAFTA at such a pivotal moment for the screen industries, stepping into an organisation whose global reputation for championing creative excellence is unmatched. As the sector evolves at speed, BAFTA’s ability to nurture talent, set the agenda and bring the industry together matters more than ever.”
