Apple TV+ has ordered Prime Target, a conspiracy thriller starring Leo Woodall and Quintessa Swindell.

The 8 x 60’ drama is created and exec produced by Steve Thompson, and directed by Brady Hood, who also serves as exec producer alongside Ed Rubin, Beth Pattinson, Emma Broughton, Yariv Milchan, Arnon Milchan, Michael Schaefer, Marina Brackenbury David W Zucker, Ridley Scott and Hastings-Smith. Prime Target is produced by New Regency and Scott Free. Laura Hastings-Smith produces.

Woodall plays a brilliant young maths post-graduate, Edward Brooks, on the verge of a major breakthrough – if he succeeds in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world.

Soon he begins to realise an unseen enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it’s even born, which brings him into contact with Taylah Sanders, an NSA agent (Swindell), who’s been tasked with watching and reporting on mathematicians’ behavior. Together they start to piece together the troubling conspiracy at which Edward is at the centre.

Stephen Rea, Martha Plimpton, Sidse Babbett Knudsen, Jason Flemyng, Harry Lloyd, Ali Suliman, Fra Fee and Joseph Mydell co-star.

AppleTV+’s UK production imprint is growing, with further series of Slow Horses nearing production, and the return of airborne thriller Hijack.
