Edinburgh TV Festival talent schemes

Edinburgh TV festival scheme Applications are open for the two prestigious talent schemes run by the Edinburgh TV Festival, both of which are free to attend (including accommodation in Edinburgh during the Festival).

The first scheme is Ones to Watch, aimed at rising stars of the TV industry, with 3-5 years” experience.

Successful applicants receive a delegate pass for the Edinburgh TV Festival plus a bespoke programme of exclusive masterclasses, as well as a year of mentoring from a top industry figure.

Past speakers for Ones to Watch sessions have included Danny Cohen, Jay Hunt, Jeff Pope and Pat Younge. The deadline for submissions for Ones to Watch is 11 April.

Edinburgh TV festival training schemes

The second scheme, called The Network, is aimed at entry level talent with limited experience in TV. 50 people a year benefit from four days of intensive workshops and masterclasses.

As part of The Network, successful applicants will also work closely with established programme makers and talent managers in a bid to kickstart their career in television. In 2015,

Networkers had the opportunity to work with the teams behind First Dates, Holby City, Blue Peter and Sky News.

After their time in Edinburgh, delegates also get access to exclusive job opportunities and an industry mentor. Accommodation is also included. The deadline for submissions for The Network is 4 April.
