Cecelia Ahern miniseries to film south-east

A two-part adaptation of Cecelia Ahern”s novel Thanks for the Memories is gearing up to film in London and Oxford.

The book centres on Joyce Conway, who must undergo a blood transfusion following an accident. When she comes round she finds she has knowledge and memories she did not possess before.

Seasoned TV writer Simon Nye (How Do You want Me? Men Behaving Badly) has adapted the project as a 2 x 90 for Gate Television for delivery to a major German broadcaster.

Director Amit Gupta, whose credits include the BAFTA-nominated feature film Resistance with Andrew Riseborough, is at the helm.

Ahern”s work has been adapted before for both film and TV, including Love, Rosie (based on the book Where Rainbows End) in 2014 with Lily Collins and Sam Claflin and 2007”s P.S. I Love You starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler.
