Emma Stone readies to film in UK
Oscar winner Emma Stone is preparing to film her next project in the UK, with principal photography set to begin on 20 March.
Period drama The Favourite is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and explores the political wranglings behind the scenes at the court of Queen Anne at the start of the 18th century.
The eight-week shoot will take in locations including Hatfield House in Hertfordshire, a country house which has provided the backdrop to many feature films in the past, including Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, My Week with Marilyn and Sherlock Holmes.
The Favourite also stars Olivia Colman, Nicholas Hoult, Rachel Weisz and Joe Alwyn; the screenplay is by Deborah Davis and Tony McNamara.
The project reunites Lanthimos with Dublin-based production company Element Pictures. Their recent collaborations include The Killing of a Sacred Deer with Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman, now in post, and the Oscar-nominated The Lobster in 2015.
