The ABC gears up for pre-production

Six-part school-set drama The ABC is gearing up for pre-production, with filming due to begin next year.

From The Forge, founded by George Faber in 2014, the series is written by East is East scribe Ayub Khan-Din and is set in a multicultural academy in West Yorkshire, created by the merger of an all-white and an all-Asian school.

Faber executive produces alongside George Ormond. For details on the specific filming location, shoot dates and key hires including the line producer and casting director, log into Production Intelligence.

With one more episode of its critically-acclaimed drama National Treasure still to air on Channel 4, The Forge is busy working on several other projects.

The Last Post, Peter Moffat”s account of military life in Aden in the mid-1960s at the end of the British Empire, is due to start a four-month shoot later this month in South Africa.

The drama stars Jessie Buckley, Amanda Drew, Ben Miles, Stephen Campbell and Jessica Raine. The Forge is producing with Bonafide Films.
