Filming on Sherlock Series 4 got up and running in April of this year, although it first appeared on Production Intelligence over two years earlier. We returned to report on many aspects of the popular drama, including the fact that Welsh locations were being used for this run, confirming both the London and Wales location managers on board.
Hinterland
A seven-month shoot which began in January has now finished on Hinterland Series 3, the Celtic noir drama with dialogue in both English and Welsh and starring Richard Harrington as Detective Chief Inspector Tom Mathias.
Cardiff-based Fiction Factory Films make the show, in which the Welsh locations provide a brooding, dark backdrop for the crime stories – the series” title in Welsh is Y Gwyll which means dusk. Much of the BBC Cymru Wales/S4C drama is filmed in Ceredigion, with locations including Aberystwyth.
