Amma Asante film to shoot in Wales
Amma Asante”s next film as writer/director is a Second World War feature which is currently eyeing an autumn shoot in Wales.
Where Hands Touch tells the story of a relationship between an SS officer based in Berlin and a mixed-race German girl. The project will shoot in Wales and a yet-to-be-confirmed European city.
Charlie Hanson, who has just finished David Brent”s big screen outing, Life on the Road, is producing for Tantrum Films alongside backer Pinewood Pictures.
From 19 April, Production Intelligence subscribers can find details for the line producer and production designer too, with more names to follow as things gear up and the largely Welsh crew come on board the project.
Wales continues to maintain its high profile as an international production hub, with projects such as Amazon”s major international co-prod The Collection currently shooting at Swansea Bay Studios, the Christina Hendricks/Emily Watson feature The Angel Makers lined up to film in the autumn and Sherlock Series 4 utilising Welsh locations.
