Top creative figures gather for Media Summit

This year marks the third annual Media Summit, to be held in central London on 7 and 8 June.

Hosted by MBI, owner of Screen, Broadcast, shots, KFTV and The Knowledge, the event is part of Creative Week and will see a plethora of top representatives from across the creative industries gather at the venue, 30 Euston Square.

There they will debate the future of content, innovation and digital strategy in the creative sector. Figures from film, TV, advertising and digital strategy will be speaking over two days of thought leadership sessions and debate.

The conference welcomes over 500 delegates and aims to provide key business drivers and insights into ideas and themes which affect the future of the global media industry. There will be five key themes, globalisation, disruption, audiences, VoD and new technologies.

This year”s line-up of speakers includes Jane Featherstone, TV drama chief formerly of Kudos who recently set up her own indie, Sister Pictures. Other representatives from the world of TV include Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO, FremantleMedia Group; Sophie Turner Laing, CEO of Endemol Shine Group; MD of BT TV & sport Delia Bushell; James Purnell, director of strategy and digital, BBC; Paul Kanareck, Director of online/brands, ITV and Richard Davidson-Houston, head of All 4 and digital content, Channel 4.

There is a strong showing from other creative sector speakers too, with CCO of Saatchi & Saatchi Kate Stanners; BuzzFeed UK Editor in Chief Janine Gibson; Alan Hunter, head of digital strategy The Times and Sunday Times; VP Europe, Style Haul, James Stafford and Twitter”s vice president for Europe, Bruce Daisley.
