New two-part drama for BBC One
An original two-part drama is being developed for BBC One, with filming set to begin this summer.
Man in An Orange Shirt comes from writer Patrick Gale (pictured) and is set in both the 1940s and the present day, with two interconnecting romantic stories at the heart of the piece.
Gale is a prolific author, with nine novels published to date as well as an Armistead Maupin biography and a short history of the Dorchester Hotel. He currently has several film and TV projects in development at various companies, with Man in An Orange Shirt leading the charge in production terms.
Subscribers to PI can log in for details on the drama, including the production company and producer. A line producer is also attached, with name to be announced nearer the start of pre-production which is expected to begin in late spring.
PI currently has over 360 projects in development; non-subscribers can request a free demo during which they will be shown remotely around the site.
